This morning we dropped anchor about 8 am heading for Palm Coast. We had wanted to make it to St. Augustine and grab a mooring but they did not have a mooring available until Monday night for us.
About 9:30 am my phone and the VHF radio went off with a severe thunderstorm warning with possible hail and strong winds. Ugh. I checked the radar and sure enough, it looked like we were going to go right through it. As we got closer, we zipped everything up and got ready. The rain started about 10 am and we lucked out, the heaviest of the storm passed south of us and we just had rain for an hour!
Besides the rain, and having to travel at minimum wake through some narrow parts of the ICW, we had another uneventful trip (knock on wood), hoping this continues.
We pulled into our slip at the Palm Coast Marina about 4 pm and walked to a pretty cool place about 10 minutes away called European Village which had shops and restaurants, reminded me of Italy.
